Feature Focus walls which forms part of a crucial structural requirement, looks so much better when it is done in a smooth concrete finish. This wall had only two main sides parallel to each other, the rest including the recesses is either at angles or at a slope. Every recess features meticulously mitred pockets, perfectly crafted for aluminium windows. It's a meeting of function and design that you simply can't miss!

It is not the norm to add as many photos to any po

It is not the norm to add as many photos to any post, but to truly understand what was achieved, it is required this time. What was constructed is an off-shutter white cement beam spanning 25 m fixed only at two points. These fixed points were post-dowelled and all reinforcing steel for the slab was pull-out bars. To top this, the cantilever slab below (4.8) hangs from this top slab with an Rc wall as the fixing point.

Hats off to the Moroff & Kühne team led by Bernard le Roux. And a special shout out to JC Kitching from Peri – Cape Town – who has done all the Vario designs on this project.
